History of "Language & Linguistics"

"Language & Linguistics" first started as a paper magazine. Because not many people were ready to contribute to the publication, I chose to put it online. Following is the introductory article that appeared in the first issue. Language & Linguistics is an irregularly published paper that is meant to present topics related to language and linguistics to an audience of laymen in the first place. By attempting such a thing we are trying to establish a background of understanding of topics we see as important as keeping one’s own household secure and safe. No respectable nation would rise without having its own language. Before thinking of independence as a political act, peoples under foreign rule first think of the language their state will speak as their official language.
